Using your time
With mid-year exams over for most Year 12 students, most of you are probably looking to the end of next week and the mid-year break for some much needed r&r.
And take it. Take some time to have a few sleep-ins, get to know your pet, and parents, and get some exercise (walking is thinking time)
But, also use the time to consolidate what you’ve done in English. Get your notes organised and up to date. Re-read the List 1 text you’re doing in Semester 2. Look back at your progress critically. Don’t be too hard on yourself, but be realistic. Where can the improvement come from?
After all, there’s only one full term left in your school life. It’s gotta be worth the effort now you’re in the home straight. And, I’m not going to over-do that countdown thing, but there’s 131 days now to the English exam.
